AFRICA RENEWAL MINISTRIES
Mwangaza Testimony – Freedom Kitengejja
“I have come to a conclusion: that there is nothing too hard for the Lord! My life will never be the same!” Freedom Kitengejja is a young man who experienced heavy poverty growing up in Uganda. At an early age Freedom lost his house, land, and hope of having a successful future. It was not until 2003, when Freedom was given a once in a lifetime opportunity to travel to the United States with the first ever Mwangaza Children’s Choir tour, that his hope was restored. “In this Choir I was nurtured spiritually, musically, academically, and socially. The hope which was lost is now renewed” Freedom proclaims. After touring with Mwangaza in 2004, he has since gone on tour again in 2008, and has chosen to pour his life back into the ministry by becoming the choir director for the 2013 “Breaking Free” tour. Freedom is a perfect example of what Africa Renewal Ministries, our parent ministry, is trying to create: generations of transformational Christian leaders.
After the completion of the 2013 tour, Freedom returned to Africa to work with the Mwangaza Children’s Choir further. Since that time he has been helping recruit, train, and develop children in Uganda that will become a part of Mwangaza on our next tour. We are grateful to Freedom for his selfless involvement with Africa Renewal Ministries and cannot wait to see what else he will do in the future!
